Public health measures such as lockdowns and social distancing may be necessary to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, but they also contribute to a different public health crisis: violation of human rights. There is a continually growing body of evidence of demonstrating gender and sex biasness and differences in the pandemic.
To help legal professionals and business owners navigate this turbulent landscape we have developed a series of interactive discussions with a panel of experts. As the issues are complex and require deep-dive into details we have curated three focused sessions: “Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019″, “Law against Sexual Harassment” and concerns of “Domestic Violence” to be presented in a format that will enable attendees to tap into the panel’s extensive experience for their individual and business needs.
This masterclass will provides an overview of human rights concerns posed by the coronavirus outbreak, drawing on examples of government responses to date, ways in which a business owner or legal professionals can address the concerns.
